A New Chapter for PETRA Built: Celebrating Our Ribbon Cutting
A few months ago, PETRA Built had the honor of celebrating the ribbon cutting of our new outreach facility, hosted by the Katy Chamber of Commerce.
It was a meaningful day for our organization and a reminder of how far this mission has come.
What started as a vision in Heidi Breeding’s heart to help restore homes for people in need has continued to grow into something much bigger than one project or one family. Our new outreach facility represents that growth. It gives PETRA Built a place to gather, connect, host events, and continue building support for the work we do in the community.
This space is especially important because it will help fuel the mission in a practical way. Through events and community gatherings held here, we will be able to bring in funding that supports PETRA Built’s work restoring homes and improving living conditions for those facing difficult circumstances. In other words, this facility is not just a building — it is a tool for impact.
It is a place where people can come together around a shared purpose. A place where community, outreach, and generosity meet. A place where support turns into action.
We are incredibly thankful to the Katy Chamber of Commerce for being part of this milestone and to everyone who celebrated with us. Moments like this remind us that PETRA Built’s mission is supported by a wider community of people who care deeply about helping others.
This ribbon cutting was more than a ceremony. It was the opening of a new chapter — one that will help us serve more people, create more opportunities for connection, and continue the work of restoration that PETRA Built was founded to do.
We are excited for what is ahead.
